In need of time just to myself an the more I looked at the water of this piece I could see alone time. That is how ?Introvert ? happened. Peggy Hayes

Title or Location: Mac Miller
This is a color pencil recreation of the last professional photograph of Mac Miller taken by Christaan Felber. In my drawing I focused on specifically on his eyes. This is a running theme through my works. This piece is for the local art show at Vertigo 232 Gallery. The show is centered around Music. The show opens Oct 6th (first Friday). In addition, I have an exhibition currently at City Arts, Through Her Eyes, running through Oct. 29th.

My new painting In the Midst Of the Golden Sea, oil on panel, 9x12. This is the wheat field I'm driving by to work every day. This year I really wanted to capture it before it's harvested. That tree in the middle is like a guardian watching over the gold It was getting close to sunset time, so the light was especially warm, resting on the yellow-golden fields, reflecting red on the background trees, perfectly contrasting the blue skies. It was such a harmony in colors, that I couldn't resist, an

17?41? FramedAcrylic on canvasThere is something whimsical and endearing about seahorses. In particular, their pudgy bellies and mini-fins. When I think of these beautiful little creatures, it makes me smile. We need a reason to smile in this day and age.

Title or Location: Golden Hour on the Tower
One of our favorite places to watch the sunset is in front of this tower at Nokomis Beach. This painting started as a small watercolor plein air sketch. I really enjoyed it and wanted to do a larger painting in oil of that magical moment when there are just a few fleeting seconds of light left. The light changes dramatically, so I used a photograph as a reference to bring this painting to life.
